1st December “Christmas Rudolph” Wall Decoration
Really get in the festive mood with this fun one day workshop making a 3 dimensional “head” of one of the most iconic Christmas figures of recent times. Not Santa (Santa who?), not Baby Jesus, not “The Snowman”.
No, for this workshop we will use a range of Christmas themed fabrics to make none other than the red nosed flying reindeer himself, Rudolph.
This is one of our favourite projects to make as there is just something so cheerful about the end result. He will bring a smile to the face of even the most determined Christmas Scrooge.
Be the envy of your friends and guests in the lead up to Christmas with Rudolph as your greeting in your hallway, or make him as a wonderfully different and unique gift for a friend or family member to treasure forever.
Bring your own selection of Christmas fabrics to make your own personal, totally unique Rudolph. You will also need buttons or similar for the eyes and toy stuffing. A complete list of what to bring is available on booking.
In addition you will need to bring:
A sewing machine (with a current PAT test; if you need one, get in touch. We also have machines at the shop if you don’t want to bring your own but please let us know so we can make sure there are enough for everyone.)
A sewing kit comprising of large and small scissors, pins, etc.
Spare needles for your machine and a couple of hand needles
“Christmas” coloured sewing threads to match your chosen selection of fabric (we used green, cream and red, for example)
A notebook and pen and a camera if you want.
You will be provided with a pattern to use and complete instructions on how to make Rudolph.
This workshop costs £45 for the day and will run from 10 am until 4pm and you will need to bring a packed lunch. Tea & coffee are provided.
